Nobis S38 steel fibres are crimped steel fibres made from low carbon cold drawn steel. They have a minimum tensile strength of 700mpa. The fibres are deformed along their entire length to provide a good mechanical bond with the concrete. Crimped steel fibres distribute the reinforcing uniformly throughout the concrete to increase the tensile strength, impact resistance, shear strength and ductility of the concrete.
Nobis steel fibres are easy to handle and do not “ball” during mixing. The undulations along the fibre provide mechanical anchorage into the concrete to improve first crack strength.
Nobis S38 steel fibres are approved and used by a number of companies for pre cast septic tanks manufactured under AS/NZS 1546.1:2008.
